The Story so far...

Wrecking Crew was formed in july 2000 by Buks Kemp and Max Duijsens immediately after their previous band Havoc split. With Havoc they had played numerous covers and eventually even a full-length album of original songs called 'War of Mind' was released in the spring of 1999.

Buks and Max started writing their own material and two years later they had about nine songs finished - except for the vocals and lyrics that was! In came Nico Perreijn, a singer with many years of experience in various bands. With him two more songs were written and in the spring of 2003 'Another Fine Wreck' was recorded with the help of old bandmates Remco de Jong and Ronald Vandenbos who added some blistering lead guitars.

Wrecking Crew went on to promote their album at the very successful Gig for Nob - a gig in memory of Havoc singer Norbert Freriks who passed away in 2002.
Ronald and Remco then concentrated on their own bands while the trio of Buks, Max and Nico started writing new songs. In the beginning of 2005 Remco joined full-time and they started working on their live set. The spring of 2005 saw Wrecking Crew perform at various places where they played four newly written songs.

In the autumn of 2005 Bram Heijs joined. With him Buks and Max wrote five new songs. Early spring 2006 the Crew recorded a 2-track preproduction demo in the SAE Studios. Recording of their second album 'Where Soldiers Die' started at the end of 2006 and was finished in August 2007. Mixing occupied the last few months of the year.
In February 2008 Wrecking Crew won the preliminary round of the Metal Battle for Zuid-Holland. Besides that they played several gigs with lots of new songs to coincide with the release of 'Where Soldiers Die' in spring 2008. In June Nico left the band. Rehearsing for the Gig for Nob took up most of the time in the autumn of 2008, but it led to a fantastic evening that was very well-received.

In October 2009 Wrecking Crew hooked up with new singer Johan van der Linden (ex-Inner Sanctum) and presented their new line-up at the Gig for Nob that year. The first Wrecking Crew gig in 2010 was also the last to see Remco de Jong on lead guitars. Unable to commit fully to the band they parted on a friendly basis. Buks moved back to rhythm guitars, Bram took on lead duties, and in René de Vink the band found a new bass player.
With a renewed drive and a flood of new ideas Wrecking Crew wrote several new songs and worked on a new setlist. In December the band entered the studio to record a new 4-track EP which was released in March 2011.
